The Qingdao Experiment Base of the National Institution for Finance & Development (NIFD) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) completes site selection

As Qingdao’s core experiment zone for wealth management, the Qingdao Experiment Base of the National Institution for Finance and Development (NIFD), also a key investment and talent attraction project of Jinjialing Financial District, will be built at Qingdao Fintech Center. As the NIFD’s third branch in China after its branches in Shanghai and Shenzhen, the NIFD Qingdao Experiment Base will focus on the research of national macro-financial policy, regional financial policy, fintech development, and financial development and reform in Shandong Province and Qingdao City. In particular, it will provide decision-making consultation and solution services to the fintech industrial park and Qingdao’s financial institutions. By leveraging its functions as a premium national think tank, the NIFD Qingdao Experiment Base will contribute to the development of fintech and financial industry in Qingdao City.

The NIFD Qingdao Experiment Base holds its first fintech salon at Qingdao SIIC Center

The salon invited well-known Chinese experts and scholars in relevant fields and representatives of financial institutions and fintech enterprises in Qingdao to discuss fintech and Qingdao’s financial industry development. In the workshop session, panelists analyzed fintech’s far-reaching influence on the entire financial industry, shared their experiences and concerns about current business development, and made suggestions on Qingdao’s financial industry development. The NIFD Qingdao Experiment Base will continue to hold salons, support local industrial development as a national think-tank by communicating industry trends and policy directions to local financial institutions, and serve as a communication platform to share industry experiences and help resolve relevant problems.

NIFD holds an international summit forum on inclusive finance in Beijing

Under the theme of “Role of Inclusive Digital Finance in Supporting the Real Economy,” the summit forum invited leaders from Chinese and international financial institutions, as well as experts and business representatives. The forum featured in-depth discussions on the theories, practice and future development of inclusive finance, including two thematic panels on “role of inclusive digital finance in promoting financial innovation” and “role of fintech in serving the real economy.” By discussing the current development of inclusive digital finance and exploring critical issues related to the sustainable development of inclusive finance, the forum offers a venue for new financial firms to present their contributions to inclusive finance and build confidence for industry development.
